What about hands on training? You've now decided you're ready to learn physical self-defense techniques. You want a program geared specifically to meet your needs as a woman. For that, we recommend Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) training for all women. The RAD System is dedicated to teaching you defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assaults.

The RAD system utilizes easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide you with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance.

If you are an employer or with a group, we are available for speaking engagements, lunch & learn sessions and general training regarding a host of woman's safety issues. Please feel free to contact us with your needs and budgetary requirements.

Executive Defense Technology provides realistic, effective self-defense training for today's busy female.

Our Mission at EDT is simple - empowering you to fight back against crime.

How?

By providing you training and education in:

·  Awareness

·  Prevention

·  Risk reduction

·  Risk avoidance; and

·  Self-realization of your own physical power

These tools greatly increase your personal protection & options to combat crime.

The paradox of self-defense is that the more prepared you are, the less likely you are to need it. When you can recognize and respond effectively to potentially dangerous situations, you are more confident in your every day activities. You are also less likely to become a target of crime.

EDT training teaches physical thecniques and mental conditioning to combat the greatest enemy - an attacker's strength and size.  but size doesn't matter when it comes to defending yourself.

EDT tells women to listen to that unnerving feeling telling them something just deosn't feel right.  It's one of the most important sensations to recognize.

"Where you have that gut instinct telling you that there's something wrong.  So if your'e walking down the street and something doesn't feel right, then that's a self defense moment, "  instructor Paul Schmitz says.

Schmitz tells his students they have choices if confronted with an attacker.

Everyone should know at least a couple moves to defend themselves from an attack.  "A lot of self defense is in practicing and making certain behaviors habitual.  So body posture, breathing, eye contact and voice is something we stress." instructor Larry Elliott says.

Experts say being aware of your surroundings, especially at night, is most important.  Nearly 2/3 of sexual assaults occur at night, according to the US Department of Justice.  But attacks happen during the day too.  More than half of violent crime incidents in the country last year occurred between 6am and 6pm.

Safety Tips

In just 60 - 90 minutes, you can learn helpful tips to protect yourself from becoming a victim of crime

Did you know?

During their lifetime, an estimated 1 in 4 women will experience a sexual assault. (National Institute of Justice)

Somewhere in America, a woman is sexually assaulted every 2 minutes.  (U.S. Department of Justice)

Whether you or anyone you know has experienced a crime recently or not, crime prevention training is relevant for everyone, because crime affects everyone at some point in their lives.  This training is designed to give you the tools you need to help prevent crime and to help maintain a safe environment for us all.

When/how is the training presented?
  • The training is normally presented during a specially arranged meeting - business luncheons, church groups, organizations, sorority meetings, college campus/ dorm groups, AARP meetings, ANY organization that wants to make this service available to its members
  • Times and dates are flexible.  There is no minimum or maximum class size.
  • Multiple training sessions can be scheduled for a group to ensure all members are able to participate.
What will participants in the training learn?
  • Recent incidents of concern (as presented by group members)
  • How to keep your car safe from theft.
  • Staying safe while commuting
  • How to participate in Operation Identification.
  • A program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques taught by certified instructors.  EDT offers a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.  The class ends with a realistic Simulation Training Session.

  • A primary goal of EDT training is to heighten a woman's level of awareness without building a false sense of security. We hope that through education and training, a woman will be more aware of her surroundings, therefore recognizing potentially dangerous situations and avoiding them.
What is being said about EDT Training:
"Best investment of time I feel I have ever spent on myself.  I definitely came away with the confidence in knowing that I could, if necessary, defend and protect myself in an assault situation.
